Current guidelines are that you will be able to have your family plus 30 guests in your home by Christmas.
This will likely apply to the lodge as well.

3. Make sure you bring some warm clothes just in case you get an Alpine cold snap during your stay.

If you drive an electric vehicle

The Lodge has a 32A 3P plug for charging, free to guests.

There are Destination chargers in Bright and Harrietville and there is a Tesla Supercharger in Ovens.

Alpine Attractions

The best thing about the Alps in a hot Australian Summer are the cool mountain breezes. It’s usually around 10C cooler than the rest of the state at the top of Mt Hotham. Enjoy.

Hotham and surrounds have some beautiful walks, the most famous being the track to Mt Feathertop. Walks to mountain huts, waterfalls and Cobungra Ditch are also worth the effort.

Other attractions include trout fishing (or failing that a visit to the trout farm), Mountain Biking, 4WD adventures, Tennis (at Dinner Plain) or closer to home check the wildflowers on Big D.

In the Ovens Valley at the bottom of the mountain is the Rail Trail, historic Wandilagong Pub, berry picking, walnuts, Wineries and the Dredge Hole at Harrietville if you feel like a swim. If you get sick of cooking, The General or Dinner Plain Hotel are good options.
